I was born and raised in Staffordshire and moved to London in 2004 to start a career in property. I started working for a large development company, overseeing various projects including the re-development of two large industrial units in London Bridge and Balham. These units were renovated and redeveloped into modern and luxurious residential apartments. I quickly realised my passion for high quality renovations and refurbishments and decided to set up my own property refurbishment company in May 2007.
Following the success of My House Angel Ltd and wanting to expand into full property renovations, Michael and I formed Paterson Wood in September 2009.
I discovered my passion for property renovation after taking a part-time job with a bespoke kitchen manufacturer in Sydney when I was 18. Having decided to pursue a career in cabinet making I completed a four year apprenticeship with a top antique restoration company in Sydney and gained a distinction for my diploma. During my apprenticeship I also wanted to develop my carpentry skills and building knowledge so I took an onsite job with a construction company at weekends.
I moved to London in 2005 and worked for a specialist joinery workshop in North London. I was then offered a job at a Kensington based design and construction firm where I was quickly promoted to foreman, working on large developments in and around Kensington and Chelsea. Following this I worked for a loft conversion company based in South West London.
In 2007 I formed my own renovation company, Paterson Renovations Ltd. Having worked with Francis on various projects we decided to merge in order to offer comprehensive renovation and refurbishment services.
